2024 Photography Contest

The photo contest entry window is now closed. Entries to the Photo Contest are no longer being accepted.
39 entries were received. The winners will be announced and notified after Nov 1st. Entries will be displayed at the Prairie City Public Library Nov 22, 2024 – January 25, 2025
Further information regarding entry pick up will be emailed to all entrants as we are still working out the details.
Judging:
Judging is now commencing.
As a reminder: Throughout the judging process all photos will be handled with care, however, the US Fish and Wildlife Service and Friends of Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge are NOT responsible for any loss or damage.
Best of Show (Smartphone Photography) will be decided as part of the judging process. Best of Show, 1st Pl, 2nd Pl, 3rd Pl will be determined.
Best of Show (Adult and Youth) will be determined from the 1st place entries in each category: Bison & Elk, Birds & Other Wildlife, Plants & Pollinators and Refuge Life.
Awards:
Awards will be announced soon. The original plan was to award gift certificates to the Prairie Point Nature Store, but since the building and store are now closed, alternative awards are being determined. Watch this page for an announcement of the new awards.
